CONNECTIONS
THAT COUNT
Providing What's Needed for Quality Improvement
Committed to Quality
At Connections That Count, we understand that change is not easy. Since 2010, Andrea Poehl has been helping Head Start grantees, school districts and child care programs of all sizes make powerful changes that impact children, families, and educators.
Andrea was a classroom teacher for 10 years before becoming an Administrator for the College Station Independent School District's Early Childhood Program.
She was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2007.
Andrea spent many years implementing proven strategies in the classroom before giving birth to twins. She knows first hand the challenges of teaching and parenthood and is thankful for the grace of God, a strong foundation in child development and the brain-based practice of trauma-informed care.
Her expertise provided an opportunity to begin consulting in 2010.
Andrea empowers educators and parents of young children, providing professional development, CLASS™ observations and practice-based coaching for programs throughout the United States.
She knows that improving outcomes begins at birth, and develops in young children through powerful interactions. These interactions continue to impact her everyday life as a wife, mother and educator.

WHO WE ARE
Andrea has a contagious enthusiasm about her purpose and passion for children and teachers! I very much enjoyed her training, in spite of not wanting to be taken out of my classroom for professional development.
It was a day well-spent and I feel much more prepared for this school year!
CONNECTIONS THAT COUNT SERVICES
Connections That Count exists to support administrators, teachers and parents of young children. We provide a range of services to facilitate change based on cutting-edge early childhood research that will create rewarding relationships and positive learning environments.
WORKSHOPS
Educator Workshops can be designed to meet the professional development needs of your program. Trainings are usually offered for a half day (3 hours), a full day (6.5 hours) or two full-day sessions.
COACHING
Andrea is also available for CLASS™ observations, as well as coaching. Practice-Based Coaching provides on the spot modeling of classroom strategies, and meaningful feedback while increasing teacher confidence.
